    FOUNDER, SONGWRITER, PRODUCER

wildwildsky is the creative project of UK songwriter-producer Nick Donovan, who returned to acoustic-based songwriting after nearly a decade immersed in Berlin’s electronica scene. Inspired by the surrounding wilderness of his UK home, wildwildsky’s music blends alternative/indie-folk, atmospheric textures, and heartfelt storytelling.

His debut single “Sylvie Fern”—written the morning after his niece’s birth—marked a transformative shift into emotive, alternative folk, drawing praise for its vivid lyrical imagery and nostalgic sound.

wildwildsky’s evocative indie folk sound has earned him comparisons to Bon Iver, Paul Simon, and Fleet Foxes for his moving atmospheres and melodic subtlety.

Nick’s idea to release his, and other’s, music into the wild and share it with as many people as possible gave birth to the wildwildsky app: an exploration in technology and mission to explore a unique way to release and experience music.

  • Anna B Savage

Anna B Savage is a London singer-songwriter and musician. Her songs are stark, skeletal paintings of moods and reflection, using a palette of mainly voice and guitar. Most prominent is her voice – strong and sonorous, yet with a vulnerability that feels as if she’s in the same room as you.

A sense of rootedness is at the heart of Anna B Savage’s third record You and i are Earth (City Slang records), a record that is as much about healing as it is an unbowed sense of curiosity, and, more simply, “a love letter to a man and to Ireland.” Since 2020 Anna has spent much of her time on the west coast of Ireland, dipping back to her home in County Donegal between bouts of touring - this year supporting The Staves and St Vincent.

  • Bishopskin

Formed by vocalist Tiger Nicholson and guitarist James Donovan, Bishopskin have gained notoriety for their eccentric live performances, and a genre-defying blend of pastoral folk, punk and 19th-century Romanticism. Known for weaving together disparate influences, they have earned a reputation for creating music that captures both modernity and the humming throb of music at the beginning of time.

On their track Doggerland for the wildwidlsky app, the band say, "This song is an exclusive alternative cut of a song from our upcoming second record, inspired by traditional English jigs. This is close to where Tiger and James lived during lockdown, and we would come out to this little triangle to practice our handstands, which we never quite mastered. It would be a notable success if we got more than a couple of seconds of airtime, due more to lucky momentum than judgement. We never really improved before Boris allowed us to go to the pub again, by which time handstanding was forgotten."

Ross says, "I think the green spaces that surrounded my youth played a big part in my activism for the planet. I really did feel connected to nature there, still in the heart of the city, it was a rambling jumble of paths to get lost in. The piece - Sketch (55.8310° N, 4.2702° W) - is inspired by both the sounds of the park on a youthful infinite summer morning, and the feelings, both literal and emotional, of the natural objects and views from it’s peak”.
